#3.  Thank you to Linda Ledbetter for hosting all of the challenges,

I made the setting to represent St. Nick circa 1964. I kept to a
vintage theme in the interior of the book. The 6oish photo I had.
And thank you to Tim and Mario for the stash for the winner!

I am using a plain book I had bought at Micheal's sometime ago.
I altered the spine of the book with Tim's new Tarnished
Brass and Antiqued Bronze Distress Crackle Paint. I covered
the front and back with old time embellishing papers.
I used the same colors to alter the left side of the book on the
inside. And then painted the other side with Distress Paint Antique
Bronze. I used Distress Spray Stain Picket Fence.
I used the large Woodland Christmas tree and two of the
small. I used a light blueish spray by Recollections on the large &
two different greenish sprays on the smaller trees.

I used Tim Holtz Die Cuts, Moon and Stars, and the large SnowFlake
Die Cut. Tim Holtz Alpha Parts Ransom. Ideaology Ephemera Pack
Christmas Noel. Distress Paint Fired Brick. Stickles Dry
Glitter. Distress Embossing Powder Gold. Deer Die Cuts, Tim Holtz
Lantern, Tim's Stick Pins, Stars, Letterpress Words by Ideaology.
Sizzix Alterations Holiday Greens.  Silver Distress Paint. Tim Holtz
Ornaments. Tim Holtz Harliquin Grungeboard. Alcohol Inks,
Mod Podge My Santa is from a vintage photo I had.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek!
Merry Christmas to all!!!

Namaste-
Jan

  1. Jan...your vintage Christmas book is beautiful! I so love your covers with all of their collaged ephemera. Don't you love those Michael's paper mache books? I think I have a collection of them! haha You've done a really nice job with the interior of your book as well. I love the reindeer die cuts on the back cover. The scene you created there is so cute and perfectly coordinates with the vignette to the right. Thanks so much for sharing with all of us at CC3C. <3 Candy
